Dharmamrita – A Magazine on the Cultural Significance of Milk in India
This project was a layout and typography exploration where I designed a conceptual magazine centered around the theme of milk and its cultural significance in India. The challenge was to understand how typography, imagery, and layout systems influence storytelling within editorial design.
Through this project, I experimented with different page compositions, type hierarchies, and visual rhythms to create an engaging reading experience. The magazine combines cultural narratives, mythology, traditions, and everyday rituals associated with milk, translating them into visually structured editorial spreads.
My Process
This project explores editorial design through typography and layout, experimenting with multiple heading typefaces to convey different emotions while maintaining consistent body text for readability. It visually communicates the cultural and emotional significance of milk in Indian life.
Deliverables
